Alverata PE Font Download

Gerard Unger’s new typeface Alverata is a twenty-first-century type-face inspired by the shapes of Romanesque capitals in inscriptions of the eleventh and twelfth centuries, without being a close imitation of them.

It is additionally based on the early twentieth-century model, but tweaked so as to prevent blandness and monotony.

Alverata performs beautifully in both screen and on paper, delivering excellent legibility.

The Irregular version is particularly inspired by the Insular letterforms, the uncials, and their constantly changing positioning.

Vicomte is a script typeface inspired by the american lettering style known as Engrosser’s script, Engraver’s script, or more commonly, Copperplate. Designed as “engraving on paper”, Engrosser’s script letters were carefully and slowly built-up in several strokes with a pointed pen, an attempt to imitate more the burin of the engraver than the quill of the writing master.

Motivated by the same goals, Vicomte looks away from handwriting and shows inscribed qualities in its letters. The alternation of curves and angles, along with the narrowness of the characters and the tight spacing give Vicomte a dark and catchy texture, producing words with strength – without loosing the delicacy of formal scripts.

LiebeDoris Font Download

Inspired by a workshop with iconic American sign painter Mike Meyer, Ulrike of LiebeFonts set out to create a versatile, lovely typeface for sign painting that looks not at all like a font but rather like the letters on a unique, hand-painted storefront sign.

STRAW The inspiration for this capital alphabet came from those beautiful haystacks you see in summer and the old fashioned Mikado game! We wanted to create a light, fragile and airy typeface with an optical effect.

Neue Haas Grotesk Font Download

The first weights of Neue Haas Grotesk were designed in 1957-1958 by Max Miedinger for the Haas’sche Schriftgiesserei in Switzerland, with art direction by the company’s principal, Eduard Hoffmann.

Neue Haas Grotesk was to be the answer to the British and German grotesques that had become hugely popular thanks to the success of functionalist Swiss typography. The typeface was soon revised and released as Helvetica by Linotype AG.

For instance, the matrices for Regular and Bold had to be of equal widths, and therefore the Bold was redrawn at a considerably narrower proportion. During the transition from metal to phototypesetting, Helvetica underwent additional modifications.

In the 1980s Neue Helvetica was produced as a rationalized, standardized version.

“Much of the warm personality of Miedinger’s shapes was lost along the way. So rather than trying to rethink Helvetica or improve on current digital versions, this was more of a restoration project: bringing Miedinger’s original Neue Haas Grotesk back to life with as much fidelity to his original shapes and spacing as possible (albeit with the addition of kerning, an expensive luxury in handset type).”

Schwartz completed the family in 2010 for Richard Turley at Bloomberg Businessweek. Its thinnest weight was designed by Berton Hasebe.

Pop Flowers is set of 64 cute graphic flower illustrations derived from Kapitza’s graphic pattern font Pop.

Pop Flowers marks a new direction in Kapitza’s exploration of shapes in nature.

While their projects such as Blossomy and We Love Nature Leaves are based on photographs of plants and flowers, Pop Flowers is constructed of graphic shapes. In moving away from ‘realistic’ forms, Pop Flowers creates a reality of its own that evokes a magical atmosphere.

Hasan Alquds Unicode is an Arabic display typeface. It is useful for titles and graphic projects where a contemporary, streamlined look is desired. The font is based on the simple lines of Kufi calligraphy, and the uniform slope of its strokes gives it a structured, geometric feel.

It supported all scripts that used Arabic glyphs compatible with Unicode 4.2. Hasan Alquds is the first released typeface of collaboration between Hasan Abu Afash and Mamoun Sakkal.

Pompeijana is part of Linotype’s Type Before Gutenberg series. Adrian Frutiger designed Pompeijana in 1992 modeling it on the “scriptura actuari” (scriptura=writing; actuari=fast) used by the Romans for handwriting and stone and bronze inscriptions since the first century BC; this style of lettering is also seen on inscriptions six centuries later.

These early letters were made quickly with a brush held at a steep angle, producing characters with horizontal strokes that are wider than the vertical strokes.

Pompeijana is ideal for books as titles and initial capitals.

More sophisticated job work, for instance, stationery and wedding invitations could easily use Pompeijana as well.

Simple - The Bilingual Font.

The process of Simple began with the usual alphabets followed by a series of icons and soon it was an avalanche of Chinese characters. The pool of proposed Chinese characters were loosely determined by the needs of a lunar calender.

A.M. Cassandre’s original and trend setting stressed sanserif which mixes capital and lowercase forms. Designed in 1937 with Charles Peignot for Deberny & Peignot, this face has almost become a symbol for France and things French.

Parkitecture JNL is the latest font to embrace the angles and lines of the Art Deco era.

Bold and solid in look and feel, it gives nostalgic headlines a “solid” retro appearance.

This family was inspired by the set of fonts used in Paris by Ponce Rosset, aka “Faucheur” to print the account of the second voyage to Canada by Jacques Cartier, first edition, in 1545. It is a Garalde set, the punchcutter is unknown, certainly it was not Garamond himself.

In our two styles (normal and italic), fontfaces, kernings and spaces are scrupulously the same as in the original. This Pro font covers Western, Eastern and Central European languages (including Celtic) Baltic and Turkish, with standard and long-s ligatures in each of the two styles.

But her origin goes much further back and thatís why she is pierced by a story which precedes her, even though it is not her own.
Maybe her origin can be traced back to that autumn night in which that tall man with that distant demeanor ran into that woman with sweet smile and elegant aspect.

He looked at her in such a way that he was trapped by that gaze and even though they found no words to say to each other and they stayed in silence, somehow some words leaked into that gaze because since that moment they were never apart again.

But in that chaos of crossed words in their life together, something was stable through the silence of the gazes. In those gazes the silent words sustained that indescribable love that they didnít even try to understand.

Forty-six leaf designs from the Leaf Assortment font were three-dimensionally rotated to various viewing angles other than perpendicular (which is how they are viewed in the Leaf Assortment). Named after the collaboration of Frank Sheeran, Ian Chai and Glenn Chappell that produced the FIGlet application, FIG is set of three postscript typefaces in the spirit of early email and ASCII art explorations.

I was working on an unrelated job with curls and wondered how I could apply them to a font. Well, here it is, all pair-kerned. A little silly but fun.

Core Magic is a slab-serif version of Core Circus which is a layered type family consisting of seven 3D effect layers, eight 2D effect layers and one shadow effect layer. Uppercase and lowercase letters are separated by such features that counters are opened or closed.

Core Magic provides other closed counter styles such as numbers with opentype feature (Stylistic Alternatives). Using Core Magic with Core Circus could make your works more charming and special with endless combinations (at least 262,551 kinds).

This family is really nice for book titles, headlines, logotypes and any artworks.

Anomique is a revival of a French mid-century sans-serif designed by Enric Crous-Vidal in the early 1960s. Crous-Vidal rejected the homogenization of European modernist type and instead looked to the “seductive” influence of what he called the “Latin Arabesque.”

Exaggerated calligraphic strokes and a lively energy showcase Anomique’s unique influence, while careful balance and an expanded latin character set make it suitable for both display and text settings in the digital age.

Sparhawk in it’s obvious form is a 3D layered display font, but its packed with over 300 swashes, extremely rare in the 3D font world. Every single swash is hand drawn for extreme organic realism.

The font Marcel is named in honor of Marcel Heuzé, a Frenchman who was conscripted into labor during World War II. During the months Marcel was in Germany, he wrote letters to his beloved wife and daughters back home in rural France.

Marcel’s letters contain rare first-person testimony of day-to-day survival within a labor camp, along with the most beautiful expressions of love imaginable. The letters — stained and scarred with censor marks — were the original source documents used by designer Carolyn Porter to create a script font that retains the expressive character of Marcel Heuzé’s original handwriting.
