Mayonez Font Download

Mayonez is a typeface with rational structure and axis but softened with rounded contours, getting as result a balance between seriousness and friendliness. The shapes have a soft appearance but without lacking definition.

A fluider structure influenced by calligraphy is proposed for the italic varaints, in this case the uppercase letters adopted a simplified semiserifed structure that works better with the lowercase letters.

Also the figures are very diferent from the roman version and follow more faithfully the italic style. More…

I can best describe the Thaun family as a general purpose display family, inspired by Scholtz Fonts' "
"Delikat". I wanted to produce a display font that was more robust than Delikat, without losing the delicacy of the original.

In order to do this I thinned solid, curved strokes toward the baseline, and let them dwindle to gently rounded points.

As a graphic designer I became aware that designs that used a number of styles from the same family seemed to work well.

This was easily done using a standard sans serif font such as Arial or Helvetica. However, when a different look is needed, display fonts do not always have a the variety of different styles that are necessary to produce a coherent design.

There are also two variants of the archetype i.e. Thaun Black & Thaun Rough to add variety to the primary style. An additional sub-family, Thaun Accord, appears in two widths. Thaun Jazz is a wide three dimensional variation.

Language support includes all European character sets, Greek symbols and all punctuation. Opentype features include automatic replacement of some characters and discretionary replacement of stylistic alternatives.

This gentle script, designed by writing master Georg Salden, is full of grace and vitality. The richness of ideas appear particularly in the curved capital characters. Lower case letters have curved elements primarily at the ascender and descender parts.

Daphne Script contains numerous alternate characters and other OpenType features.

Okaycat JAPAN proudly presents “Flows Stencil”. Flows Stencil is a gentle script with beautiful illustrated look.

Flows Stencil matches well with Okaycat font, Flows. Flows Stencil is a multilingual font appropriate for publishing and international design environments.

Roble is a Slab Serif Font, from a mix between Andes & Sanchez, following an harmony with both fonts one sans and one serif with a fresh and dynamic result. Roble is a family of 32 fonts 8 weights plus italics, besides including alternatives versions (Alt) of every font.

Dogo (Spanish) is a type inspired by the shapes of the Bulldog dog breed originating from England. Her personality is described as playful and affectionate, despite the brave face.

With initial thoughts of creating something tubular, I had in the back of my mind the kind of contemporary chrome furniture that became ubiquitous throughout the 60s and that concept remained with me throughout the development process.

The font-styling idea worked out very well in this case, resulting in plenty of optional character variations for my chosen theme, most of which are included in both styles in light and bold character sets.

There are times when a typeface is used so consistently that it becomes somewhat synonymous with the subject it’s used in.

The opening and end titles for the ABC-TV series “Naked City” (1958-1963) were set in a bold version of a popular font emulating the look of calligraphic hand lettering.

Arcaro JNL is a somewhat lighter and slightly modified version of this typeface and is offered in both regular and oblique versions.

CamingoCode is a monospaced typeface designed for source-code editors.

A compact appearance and a moderate line height provide for good legibility and make writing code a pleasure. It is based on CamingoMono, but has several specially-drawn glyphs that work well at small sizes, including Q, l, &, *, ~ and #.

The stroke weights are relatively light, which makes CamingoCode suitable for both bright and dark visual themes.

The family consists of four style-linked fonts (Regular, Italic, Bold and Bold Italic) and is manually hinted to give the best possible appearance on screens.

CamingoMono is a modern monospaced typeface family of seven weights with matching italics, from ExtraLight to Black. Predominantly humanist in character, the typeface also has a technical feel thanks to the fixed proportions, while its semi-condensed width means CamingoMono is a great space saver in long passages of text.

The default figures are noticeably lower than the uppercase letters, making them clearly distinguishable from one another.

The typeface’s additional features include three different figure sets, slashed zeros and currency symbols, arrows and a handful of stylistic alternates.

Brilliance is a glamorous contemporary display blackletter combining the rich tapestry of Textura with a hint of the airy lightness of Spencerian script, ideal for display purposes. In addition to exuberant, swashy capitals and crisp, rhythmic lowercase letters, Brilliance offers a set of unique small capitals modeled on condensed Roman lettershapes.

The starting and ending flourishes in the last poster images can be obtained either via stylistic alternates of the guillemets («»), or by typing two or three guillements in a row.

The font greatly benefited from helpful feedback from the Typophile and TypeDrawers forums. The background texture in the promotional posters is by MGB-Stock. This font is dedicated to Simone, who gave me a Pilot Parallel Pen for my birthday and thus set all of this in motion.

Aviano slab is an extended slab serif and the newest member of the popular insigne series Aviano.

The Chalk Casual family includes four versions of a display font designed to simulate characters written in chalk. The character shapes also match those of Page Studio Graphics' PIXymbols Casual font family.

The Pacific Sans and the Pacific Serif originated from the Pacific Standard, a space effective type face, especially designed for poster lettering. The implementation of serif strokes in the Pacific Serif and the contrast in vertical and horizontal strokes in the Pacific Sans, gave these fonts a distinct elegance.

Candy Bits was originally designed at Bitstream as a custom project for a large printer manufacturer. Released in 1997, Candy Bits was designed by Jim Lyles. The typographic characters were fashioned after a well known American candy.

The balance of the characters in the font are designed to enhance the 3D illusion by appearing to recede into the page. Soon after its completion, Mr. Lyles joined a local health club.

I proudly present Gingar, a warm and friendly headline face with a Slab Serif touch. A good mixture of the playful and the classic. A proper font.
Gingar includes swash-characters and ligatures and consists of 30 styles in a wide range of weights from ultra light to extra black plus italics.

Chrysa can be used to give a handwritten and childish style in a funky way.

Core Humanist Sans Font Download

CoreHumanistSans is a typeface reduced to the max: clean and simple but peaceful, unpretentious and pleasant.

There is no contrast in the characters, which means that the strokes are equally thick everywhere, hence ‘Core’.

The terminals of characters like a, c, e and s point in a horizontal rather than a vertical direction, which gives the typeface an open and accessible character, hence ‘Humanist’.

The typeface doesn’t convey any particular ‘atmosphere’ because it isn’t made to fit into any existing typeface classification. One could say that it is rather neutral and unromantic but it does have a certain friendliness about it.

Dew is a script font with blobs on the stems that according to author’s imagination resemble dew drops on the caules. It gives an impression of fragrance and freshness and thus can be used for informal headings and short advertising texts for perfumes and cosmetics.

The font was developed by Ekaterina Pulenko and released by ParaType in 2009.

You're lost and alone with your titanium laptop on an ice floe in the Antarctic. The large Polar Bear which was pursuing you sits on the mainland a hundred yards away, eyeing you hungrily, chewing on one of your boots.

You've already lost almost all feeling in your feet and hands... as you endeavor to pound out the words “I may be some time” on your G4, a chill wind freezes your fingers to the metal casing...

Taiko is a strong headline typeface based on a design by Otto Arpke from 1928.

Taiko Std is the basic version with 235 glyphs.

The full version with over 650 glyphs includes the following OpenType features:

- central European glyphs
- small caps
- tabular & mediaeval numerals
- dynamic fractions

Ebbets JNL is a variant of Jeff Levine’s Base Runner JNL, with more of a 1930s-1940s feel.

Pardesi font is named after a song from Raja Hindustani, a 1996 Bollywood movie directed by Dharmesh Darshan. The lead roles were played by Aamir Khan and Karisma Kapoor. Together they sing: ‘Pardesi, pardesi, jaana nahi’, meaning so much as: 'Foreigner, foreigner, don't go'.

I remember this song very well, as I was backpacking through India and Nepal at the time and it was played over and over again on all long distance buses I took.
Pardesi font is a fat, rounded, marker-pen font, ideal for books and posters.

It comes with extensive language support.

Woodcraft JNL is another fine example of the charm wood type adds to the printed page. The hand-cut design’s eccentricities enhance any project that desires to reflect the advertising of another time and place.

Moderator JNL is a casual, light weight serif font that is perfect for headlines, short blurbs or display text. The font is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Popstix JNL takes the childhood pastime of creating things with ice cream sticks and transferring that premise to a digital alphabet. From classroom displays to ice cream sales, this charming novelty font evokes the simpler pleasures of our younger years.

Belwe was designed by Georg Belwe for the Dresden typefoundry Schelter & Giesecke in 1926. Belwe, clearly influenced by the Art Nouveau movement, has character shapes that are full and soft, with serifs that vary in angle and style throughout the alphabet.

This display type is just right for menus, invitations, or any printed piece that requires an Art Nouveau look or an unusual touch.

Print Marks JNL assembles more old print shop cuts into a varied assortment of embellishments, border elements, designs and printer’s marks. Newly re-drawn from vintage source material, they will brighten text with their nostalgic and charming look.

Lakeland JNL was inspired by lettering seen on a vintage container of Yankee brand motor oil.

Originally all-caps on the package, the remaining characters were developed to expand on this casual semi-script design which was popular during the 1940s.

Sports Jock JNL brings you a serif-style sports font built on the classic design of an early-1900s block font with chamfered angles.

At first glance Parking Lot Stencil JNL look quite similar to many sans stencil fonts, but rest assured there are numerous subtle nuances that give the typeface its own unique flavor.

Modeled after the plastic stencils used for marking numbers and directional information on paved surfaces, the lettering is clean yet industrial.

Sassoon was designed in 1995 by Rosemary Sassoon in the style of typefaces found in schoolbooks in the early 20th century. The font exhibits a harmony between the space within and outside of the letters.

The forms have soft, round forms which give text an almost ornamental character.

This flexible font can be used for headlines or text, in small or large point sizes.

“Kaat” is a new type (2013). It was designed by Chris Nuijen and named after his daughter Kaat. It represents the period in which everyone has their face behind the latest mobile phone screen or interactive games console.

Everyone wants to try to be that little bit different, but essentially we are all the same, with the same inherent needs, just like babies or children. We need to be fed, watered, nurtured and loved, the only difference is in today’s world you can do all that from behind a screen.

“Kaat” bridges that gap, transcending the basic needs of type, with the sophistication and fast paced sharpness of today, everyone wants to be different but we all stay the same, this is a reflection in the thickness and shape of each glyph.

Print Shop Classics JNL is comprised of twenty-six decorative letterpress ornaments from vintage source material along with the words “Welcome” and “Introducing” on the period and comma keys.

Agua Font Download

Avalanche is a fun casual typeface great for when a bold caption is needed.

SCR fonts are screen optimized (also called ‘pixel fonts’). Unlike standard fonts (and like the few well-hinted fonts like Verdana or Arial), they give a crisp look on screen at very small sizes, thus increasing legibility.

The perfect applications for those fonts are web pages and software user interfaces (computer, cellular phones, console games and any other system that uses a screen interface). More…

Kerning is the adjustment of space between certain pairs of characters (like ‘AV’) to make text look more fluid, thus increasing legibility and appeal. To benefit from this feature, auto-kerning must be activated in the application.

In Photoshop, kerning must be set to ‘Metrics’. Although SCR fonts are optimized for screen, they can be used for print (in Illustrator or Indesign for example) for a decorative ‘computer text’ effect.

In this case, there is no constraint: they can be used as any other font. For screen use (in Photoshop, Fireworks, Flash... ), they have to keep aligned with the screen pixel grid not to look blurred or distorted.

To achieve this, here are the guidelines to follow:

In Photoshop, text can be precisely moved with [Edit Free Transform]. In Flash, movie clips containing text fields must also be positioned at integer values on the stage. Text must be aligned to the left or right only.

Center alignment can be simulated with left alignment by adding spaces at the begin of each line. To dispense with the positioning and alignment constraints, text anti-aliasing can be turned off if the application permits it (Photoshop, Flash MX 2004).

Vertical and horizontal scaling must be set to 100%. Faux bold or Faux italic must not be used. The document must neither be resized on export, nor allow resizing (Flash Movies).

When the original Aaux was introduced in 2002, I intended to go back and expand the family to offer more versatility. Years went by before I was willing to pick it up again and invest the proper time into building a viable and useful recut.

Just putting a new designation and tweaking a few glyphs here and there would not do the designer or the typeface justice; instead, I chose to redraw each glyph’s skeleton from scratch for the four main subsets of the super family along with their italics.

Each glyph across the super family is ‘connected at the hip’ with each style—each character carries the no frills, simple architecture that endeared so many users to it. More…

Additionally, all of the original weight variants have all been incorporated within the OpenType shell: Small Caps and Old Style Figures are there along with new tabular figures, numerators and denominators, expanded f-ligatures and a complete Central European character set.
