Sanzettica is a very easy-to-read sans-serif typeface with a design principle of open, rounded characters with at least 3 weights being suitable for large bodies of text. Legibility is augmented by the quite large x-height, giving lower case letters increased prominence in mixed text.

This makes accessing the required weight simpler and more logical, and preferable to the normal alphabetic order which is disjointed with regard to the font’s weight. (In full the weights are Thin, Light, Regular, Bold, Heavy, Black, Ultra, Mega, Max.) This makes it both easy-to-read and easy-to-use - the second design principle being that it should be simplicity itself for the user.
Although this foundry is not generally a great enthusiast for ligatures, the basic Sanzettica fonts have special ligatures for St. Rd. Mr. & Mc (for Scottish Surnames).
Also Condensed and Expanded versions are available in the Complete Set. The name was intended to be a working title during the development of the font, but so far, despite the obvious shortcomings, the font has stubbornly refused to yield to any process of renaming.
